so, on my way home yesterday i saw somebody giving somebody else head... kinda strange... it was more funny than anything else it might be, i.e.: disturbing, arousing, whatever... i was walking up union from gore and there was a minivan with, like, the dark windows in the back, parked there... through the windshield i saw somebody from behind, kinda moving, and i was thinking to myself, "what is that person doing? inflating something?", but no, it was a big ol' suck job... i'm not really sure the sex of any of the people involved, although i guess the reciever was a guy, judging by the bobbing up and down head motion. very strange. i think the fact that it wasn't more disturbing is helped by the fact that it was almost totally obscured and i only saw for a few seconds as i walked by.

as for the fact that it was funny, it was just so out of the ordinary and unexpected. i s'pose if i was to immerse myself in thoughts about suburban factory dads and crack whores, its not funny. maybe it is. i don't know. but its not "p.c."... its just the purity of the moment that was funny. still kinda makes me smile... in the liner notes to "stop making sense" (talking heads, 1984) it states something like "people look ridiculous when they are in ecstasy"... well. anywhere along the road to ecstasy they look pretty silly.

we got down to some serious rock & roll last night, too. me n' chris n' ben... some sonic youthy kinda drone rocker thing, and then gram parsons' songs, return of the grievous angel and hot burrito # 1... sounding pretty good, considering we haven't practised at all. i forget just how awesome daisy's tone is when i don't play her plugged through my amp for a while... playing all clean and country and i just smile and go "aaaaaaaaaaah..."... it sounds like a real guitar player! except for drunken sour notes, i guess. gotta work on those.

worked on some painting after i got home... not too much, just a little, but every little bit helps... i've had this painting lying around since last summer, but i could never get it feeling quite right... so in my spray paint adventure i kindof half obliterated it with gold and silver, and now i'm working over top of that... the composition is basically still the same, just re-approached... hopefully it turns out okay. i keep getting blobs of paint places tho... we better not move outta our place any time soon. i meant to hang up a curtain/sheet on the wall behind the desk where i've been painting... i guess i should do that, a pre emptive strike on getting any more paint smears on the wall.
