been listening to tv on the radio lately... never did before! its pretty darn good. wish i'd found out about them earlier, but i've kinda had my brain buried in the sand as far as music goes for the last while... long while. sometimes there's just no time for all the digging ya have to do to find the good stuff! well, re: tvotr, i first heard them on cbc radio3 website, a live show recorded and made unlive... actually, it didn't really work for me. but i could see the potential. then i read (maybe at cbcR3) about them doing a cover of Mr. Grieves, which peaked my interest, so i downloaded that, and, now i'm trying to snag all their stuff. i'd go out and buy the cd's , but i just don't have the cash at all. i think they'd rather me (or anyone) listen to their music rather than not listen to it, at least, people who enjoy it, maybe they wouldn't rather people who didn't like it being made to listen to it. that'd be weird. anyways! where was i? tvotr good. but, the live recording, seemed not so good... maybe actually being there it would be good, i got that impression, but, it didn't seem to carry onto the recording quite right. studio they are cool tho. nifty flavours. i think this blog belongs to them. but they have a website of their own, too, here.

they're playing in montreal october eleventh, at cabaret la tulip, maybe those montrealers out there would like it? checkum out the radio three special. i should give that a listen again, myself. maybe its awesome, and i just didn't give it enough percolation time. they bust out here at the commodore in novermber, if i can afford it by then i'd like to check it. hopefully that can happen! fark.
they're also playing some shows with the pixies in december, looks like... maybe they'll do mr. grieves together, doo wop style. t'would make a worthwhile bootleg, if nothing else.

think i might go for a spin on the wheelybird (bicycle)... gonna need to train myself to the hilt if i wanna have a prayer of keeping the gov'ner of giv'ner anywhere near in my sights. or maybe i'll just get back into the cleaning thing. thats probably a better idea.

rawk,

w.
