brief update of what i've been working on, cd cover for HANOVER FIST. some may know hanover, ex mom's porridge, ira and dorian and adam irish, etc etc, ... this is roughly what their cd will look like, and the bastards (well, adam, the most bastardly of all) should be buying me some beers in exchange! which is good, because i can't really afford to buy my own right now. hopefully that'll change soon.

so the top one is the cover/inside and the lower one is the back cover and sides, the back'll have the track listing, too. ya.
had some good days away, saw the fam fam, that was nice, went for a good bike ride around gibsons, ... amazing how everything actually seems pretty close together on a bike after being used to riding around the city. much closer than when i was fifteen, or whenever it was i was last riding a bike around gibsons. had a cool zoom down the inglis trail, too, at the bottom of shaw road. i wasn't even sure if the trail would still be there, but, lo and behold, it is, and is beautiful, as well, its in good condition, gravel pathway. long, long time since i've been down that trail, last time i remember it me and ira walked down it, and we were drinking home brews pilfered from my dad, must've been grade 11. went up and visited j at the graveyard too, it'd been a while since i'd been up there. ten years since he died, i didn't realize until i saw the gravestone... i guess i never really thought about exactly how long it had been.
well, it made me pretty thoughtful, a little sad, i guess, but, more just thoughtful. and, just before i left, i got to thinking about all the good times, and just started laughing... "stonehenge on a flying buddock", indeed. i remember being really stoned, crashing at his place in res at sfu, and so, munchies, he broke out some cookies... so i asked him , "do you have anything we can put on these?", which seemed perfectly reasonable to me at the time, but he thought i was mad. for some reason the idea of putting jam on the cookies seemed perfectly reasonable and normal at the time... :) funny stuff...

r.i.p., man.
