farking.
i'll start with this... then get to "reality" :
Brunei's 1959 constitution provided for a 33 seat parliament with 16 directly-elected members.
The elected body was disbanded in 1962 by the present Sultan's father after voters backed the left-wing Brunei People's Party.
He declared a state of emergency that is still in place.
Subsequent demands for greater democracy and the abolition of the monarchy were rejected and the armed revolt that followed was crushed with British military help.
okay... one thing is the word
emergency. that, to me, has always seemd a peculiarity of the english ensemble. emergency... so the root seems to be "emergent", coming out, emerging, changing... doesn't seem all that stressfull on the face of things. but all of a sudden, klaxons and blinking lights!! not that i have a suggestion for a better word, or, yeah. even if i
did have a better word, no-one would use it. bastards. BASTARDS@@ !!
ummm... where was i?
brunei! weirdo place. must be nice, ... if yer in charge. or related to in charge. lots of shiny things. shiney. i like it better with an "e". (sounds like a mid to late nineties rave track title)
but, its good the brits crushed that shit, .... keep the opposition down!! monarchy every day, every way! fark..
back to reality.
well, to scut toe th chaise, i'm listenintgck to the lemonheads. and its good. no matter what some might say. ya.
okay.
had a good night, draggerd out to the cambie by this girl i knew from before, and, ended up sitting at this table with these crazy people, and i mean CRAZY... they were fine enough, until she started to come down...then the screaming starts. she was ejected. by this point laura (the girl i knew before, but really only sorta, in a not really kinda way) had ditched us, which actually was fine. whatever. i felt that feeling, where i
should've been offended... but, i wasn't at all, very ambivilent. hanging would've been good... me 'n arc vs. the cambie was also good.
car button cloth is very good
yeah. so. talking to folks. whatever. became night. became drunk . left,... saw devora on the street, which was cool. she's the super punk scenester, we ended up by the astoria, but the night there was done, as far as getting another beer goes, but everybody knew her, and why not? she's pretty cool. last time i saw her was just 'fore she went to new york/israel, which was a while ago... i don't really know her that well/aren't part of her scene, but, i like her, and its cool to know people that you can not see for ever and ever and then just run into randomly and totally hang out with for a while and its cool. yah . so there. hah! fight the power, people are still cool . hmmph. show that grumpy world a thing or two. i need to get out more.
the main event.
yeske and i have spent the last THREE DAYS trying to become the screenprinting gods we know we deserve to be.
but we've been screwing up every step of the way. well, most steps, anyways. maybe not all. and , thankfully, different steps each time. so, we've learned a lot, at least... in fact, we ALMOST have the whole photo-emulsion process down, at least to a workable level. ... but, we need some guidance., so thankfully! Jer to the rescue. jer was my flash teacher, and is a pretty cool guy, who got into screenprinting , i think about a year ago, and fell in love.... much as we are doing. .... as we will solidly do, if we can get this shit to fucking work , in the way that we ALMOST can get it to do!! ya... well, i can't speak for ryan, but i'm in love. but the love might break my fucking heart, if we can't get this shit to actually work!! but we're almost there... and with jer's guidance, i think we'll be well on top of the poop.
its one of those things, where we're so close, that if we can just see how its done properly, we'll be good to go for the long haul. but we can't seem to quite get over the hump to where the suckage stops and the super awesomeness begins. which it will, i'm sure.
and its 2 47 am so thats all i'm gonna say...
ROCK & ROLL,
w.
********edit********* okay, so, i was "proofreading", and saw 2 47 am... which, is like, twentyfourseven, man!! rock and roll, yeaaaaaahhhhhhhoooooooowwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeahahhhhhhhhh.
