thought this was a good article...the dangers of exporting democracy...
saw a rock show tonight, sparrow, and some others... the others, they didn't really gel with me, talented, professional, and, if perhaps they were a bit more comely they'd be millionaires... but not quite my thing...
sparrow is rad, though... they make me let out funny yells... whoops and hollars and brief absurd statements. the beer helps, of course, but, they are super rad. it almost makes me want to give up being a musician. not in that "wow, this guy/band/musician/whatever is so fucking phenomanally talented that i'll never be able to come close" kind of way. just that, if it was that part of the sixties that includes the early seventies, they'd have been huge, and they're back catalogue would totally be being pillaged for movie soundtracks. instead, they are totally obscure... and we get britney spears and usher and ... well, whatever else is top 40 these days.

oh, and in a scene reminiscent of "pink floyd:the wall", i went kinda manic earlier, and shaved my face and cut my own hair. i stopped short of shaving my face and cutting my nipples off, however.... it was a bit more low key than the film.
somehow, too, i seem to have done a pretty good/even job of the hair cutting! didn't even hack holes into the back, or so it seems... and no mirror!
i guess in an infinite universe, anything is possible.
